Passchendaele Verjuice is a small family business established in 2000. Our Verjuice is produced from Chardonnay grapes grown on our property along the banks of the Boggy Creek mid way between Moyhu and Myrrhee, which is part of the renowned wine producing King Valley region in North East Victoria. Our grapes are hand picked and processed the same day, which allows the Verjuice to retain its natural flavour. There are no preservatives added. It is a true natural product. Our unique Vercotto (a sweet/sour syrup) is produced from the Verjuice. It is a versatile product that can be used as a salad dressing, additive to casseroles, as a topping for ice cream, yogurt and over berries and fruit It is very popular as a replacement for Balsamic vinegar in a good quality Olive Oil for dipping crusty bread. The uses are only limited by your imagination. Our business name evolved when Helen’s father established an orchard at Glenrowan and named the property Passchendaele in memory of a family member who served in WW1 in the battle there. Her brother Peter and his wife Lynda who founded the Verjuice business also named their property and the business Passchendaele and we have continued the name in memory of Peter.
